Dark Elves share the same range of physical features as other elves in Elyndor, with no distinct physical differences. Though they can often be identified by the presence of a Daybreak Charm, usually worn in a highly visible place.
Culture:Dark Elves cherish personal freedom and self-expression. They are called 'Dark Elves' not due to their appearance, but because they chose to leave the 'enlightened' confines of traditional Elven society to embrace the broader, more diverse experiences of the world. This results in a variety of different cultural practices mixing together and creating unique societies anywhere Dark Elves settle. Though there are a few traditions that are practiced by most.
Society:While their societies can vary wildly, Dark Elves tend to form inclusive communities within diverse landscapes or alongside other species. Their society is most often characterized by a strong internal bond and a welcoming attitude towards others. Though it has been documented that there are Dark Elf enclaves that have closed themselves off from the wider world, and choose to live in isolation.
Traditions:Having broken ties with their Elven heritage, Dark Elves stand in a curious position. Most inhabitants of Elyndor hold no ill will against them specifically, but Elves will often ignore them outright. Holding to the idea that the Dark Elves are irredeemably lost and cannot be reasoned with.
Reputation:Dark Elves in general have a relatively neutral standing in the realm. Save for their reputation with the Elves. While many groups will readily trade and live among Dark Elves, their "Light" counterparts will range from simple lack of acknoledgement to out right contempt. This often creates rifts between Dark Elves, and those who often deal with "Light" Elves. It leaves the question of reputation to be answered mostly by proximity to their counterparts.
Religion and Spirituality:Dark Elf beliefs are as wide ranging and unique as they are. It is often noted that while many still revere the Divines, that does not bar them from doing the same for spirits.
